Cooler weather for valley, windy for mountains

SACRAMENTO AREA FORECAST 6/18/2013 at 11 a.m.

TODAY: As a weather system moves inland, the Delta Breeze increases and temperatures drop to the upper 70s and low 80s.  There is a Red Flag Warning for the Sierra from noon until 11pm Tuesday. The Sierra will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 60s and wind gusts to 40 mph.

TONIGHT:  Cooler conditions settle in as the Delta Breeze maintains cooler onshore flow. Lows will be in the 50s for the Valley and 30s for the Sierra.

WEDNESDAY: Slightly warmer with highs in the low 80s. Sierra highs in the 60s.

THURSDAY: Warmer with a high of 87 in the Valley and 70s for the Sierra.

FRIDAY: Sunny with temperatures returning to the 90s. Sunny Sierra skies with highs in the lower 70s. 

SATURDAY:  Continued sunshine with highs in the mid 90s.  Sierra highs near 80.
