FRIDAY: Rain returns to the area on Halloween likely late in the morning. A chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Highs will drop to the 60s. Rain and snow for the Sierra. Highs in the 50s. Snow level drops to near 5,100 feet overnight. Trick or treat time will be tricky indeed. Scattered hit and miss showers with some thunderstorms.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with some lingering showers. Highs in the low 60s. Sierra showers will taper off overnight. Highs in the 30s. Expect slow travel and possible chain controls.
SUNDAY: Staying cool but dry. Highs in the 60s. Partly cloudy in the Sierra with highs in the 40s.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and slightly warmer with highs near 70. A few clouds in the Sierra with highs near 50.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with highs in the low 70s. Dry with highs in the 50s for the Sierra.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70s. Partly cloudy in the Sierra with highs near 60.
THURSDAY: A few more clouds with highs in the mid 70s. Sierra highs in the 60s and mostly clear skies.
