TODAY: Rain returns to the area on Halloween likely by noon. A chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Highs will drop to the 60s. Rain and snow for the Sierra. Highs in the 50s. Snow level drops to near 5,000 feet overnight. Trick or treat time will be tricky indeed. Showers with some thunderstorms, with some dry pockets as well. Plan for rain to be safe.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with lows in the 50s. Partly cloudy with lows near 30. Showery rain overnight and snow levels dropping to pass level, and lake level with 4-8" possible overnight.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with some lingering showers. Highs in the low 60s. Sierra showers will taper off overnight. Highs in the 30s. Expect slow travel and possible chain controls for higher elevations.
SUNDAY: Staying cool but dry. Highs in the 60s. Partly cloudy in the Sierra with highs in the 40s.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and slightly warmer with highs near 70. A few clouds in the Sierra with highs near 50.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with highs in the low 70s. Dry with highs in the 50s for the Sierra.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70s. Partly cloudy in the Sierra with highs near 60.
THURSDAY: A few more clouds with highs in the mid 70s. Sierra highs in the 60s and mostly clear skies.
