Melissa came to California more than a decade ago to host a PBS statewide political show called "California Capitol Week." She also worked in Nashville at the FOX affiliate and won a national award for her coverage exposing animal dumping bins in Tennessee. She servedas morning anchor in Beaumont, Texas where she met her husband. She has always been a morning person!
Melissa is a University of Texas at Austin journalism graduate and is originally from Scituate, Massachusetts. She also worked at Walt Disney World while in college and interned at CNN. She is an advocate for car seat safety, not texting and driving with News10'sGreat Hang Up campaign and is passionate about school career days and reading programs. She has kept a journal since elementary school. She and her husband have two young daughters and love to travel.
