A new system update released by Nintendo for its Wii U gaminggh console introduces a feature that changes the device's user experience.
Once the update is downloaded and installed, users will discover a new "Quick Start Menu" on their Wii U GamePad. It displays the icons of the 10 most used games and applications as the system starts up. A game or app can then be selected to launch simultaneously during the Wii U's start-up sequence to save time between pressing power and getting one's game on.
Other changes from the new system update include easier Nintendo Network ID setup for new users, more accessible notifications and the ability to have future system updates download and auto-install when the console is on standby.
