Jerry Jones said it was "hard to believe this was a practice" after the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders shared the field Tuesday.

Jones gave the quote in relation to the over 8,000 fans who were in attendance. He wasn't talking about the fight that broke out between the two teams after Cowboys corner Morris Claiborne hit Raiders tight end Mychal Rivera.

Both teams swarmed Claiborne after the hit, as the confrontation devolved into blows as most fans cheered and others tried to avoid the chaos. One Raiders fan even managed to take a swing at a Cowboys player while wielding a helmet.

"It's definitely a dangerous situation," Cowboys corner B.W. Webb said. "I don't know why fans would want to jump on this side of the fence. I don't think they'd like it too much on this side."

Raiders coach Dennis Allen tried to put a positive spin on his players and their opponents throwing fists at each other during a preseason practice.

"I don't like the fights. I want to come out and practice football," Allen said. "We don't have any time for that, and we certainly don't want to get anybody injured in fisticuffs. I thought both teams came out and competed and got a lot of good work in."

It's a bad look for everyone involved.
