RENO - Sacramento Kings forward Royce White finished his assignment with the Reno Bighorns on Wednesday night, completing his four-game Development League assignment.

White, 22, signed a 10-day contract with the Kings last Thursday.

After saying he was still shaking off the rust following his third game in Reno on Tuesday, White had his best outing yet on Wednesday. He finished with 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, three assists, three steals and a rebound in 26 minutes, in a 120-110 victory over the Iowa Energy.

The four-game assignment in Reno was the first basketball action White had since the preseason in October. When asked when the last time he had touched a basketball prior to coming to the D-League, he smiled and replied, "I'd rather not say."

White averaged 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.25 turnovers and 3.5 fouls in 25 minutes per-game during his time with Reno. He shot almost just shy of 37 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point territory, while displaying some of his crisp and impressive passing skills.

Although he said he wasn't sure what the future holds for him with the Kings beyond the assignment in Reno, White is expected to head to Sacramento while the Kings conclude their 7-game road trip. They have two more games remaining on the trip which will end Sunday in Minneapolis.

Reno head coach Joel Abelson said he felt White hit every expectation the Kings could have hoped for and felt he would get the opportunity to join the Kings in Sacramento in the coming days.

Despite not having a guarantee to actually join the Kings beyond this weekend, White said he felt ready for his first NBA game and felt Sacramento would be a great fit for him.

Drafted with the 16th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by Houston out of Iowa State, White never played a single game with the Rockets. There was friction within the organization due to several mental health illnesses he suffers from, including anxiety over a fear of fluing, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and panic attacks. He was eventually suspended by the Rockets and then traded to Philadelphia.

White began the preseason with Philadelphia and appeared in five exhibition games before being released by the team. He averaged five points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
