SACRAMENTO -- San Joaquin County Sheriff deputies learned that a heated argument between neighbors may have possibly lead to a man's death in Stockton Saturday night, according to San Joaquin spokesman Steve Moore.

At around 9:00 p.m. deputies arrived to the 900 block of S. Olive Ave in Stockton, after they received several calls about a shooting in front of a home in the area.

When deputies arrived they found one man outside a home with a gunshot wound to his upper body. When paramedics arrived they pronounced him dead.

While at the scene deputies learned that a heated argument between neighbors may have lead both sides to produce guns before the shooting happened. One subject is currently detained while another is wanted for questioning according to Moore.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office at (209) 468-4400
