Holt-Singh's service was at Bear Creek Community Church just north of Stockton. A few hundred mourners watched on monitors in an overflow area.
Holt-Singh was a customer at the Bank of the West on Thornton Avenue that was robbed. She was one of three hostages taken by three bank robbers. The other two hostages were injured either from jumping from the getaway car or from being pushed.
Holt-Singh's husband and 12-year-old daughter both spoke at the service as did other family members, long-time friends, and her employer, Stockton dentist Lester Low.
Low talked of Holt-Singh's positive attitude about work, family and friends, and he also talked about her being an "instrument of peace" in Stockton following the shocking crime spree that took her life.
