SACRAMENTO - Sacramento County sheriff's detectives arrested two youths in connection to a double shooting in Sacramento Monday afternoon in which a man died.

Calls regarding shots being fired on the 4600 block of 48th Street came in to 911 dispatchers a little before 12:30 p.m. according to Sgt. Lisa Bowman with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

Bowman said the two victims were men in their 20s. They were transported to a local hospital for care. One man did not survive. The other man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No names have been released.

It wasn't clear what triggered the shootings.

Bowman said detectives detained the two teens after the shootings, and after questioning, they were arrested. The pair were booked into Sacramento County Juvenile Hall Tuesday morning.
