A 21-year-old man already in jail custody on a parole violation is now being accused in the fatal stabbing of an elderly Elk Grove man last week.
Kihao Huang, 75, was found dead on July 24 by a family member looking for him along a walking path the victim regularly used in the area of Whitelock Parkway and Bellaterra Drive.
Elk Grove police spokesman Officer Chris Trim said detectives investigated events leading up to Huang's death and identified Kyle Smith as a person of interest in the case.
Friday, an arrest warrant for homicide was issued for Smith. The homicide was added to Smith's booking charges at Sacramento County Jail.
