A Silver Alert has been activated by the California Highway Patrol for an at-risk Amador County man who went missing sometime after leaving his son's home in Elk Grove Monday, April 21, about 3 p.m.

The CHP said Warren Hagyard, 79, was supposedly headed for Sacramento.

However, Wednesday around 11 a.m., Hagyard used his credit card in Colfax. CHP then expanded the Silver Alert to Placer and Nevada counties.

Hagyard has a medical condition and may become disoriented, the CHP said.

The missing man was described as white, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. Monday afternoon Hagyard was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.

Hagyard drives a 2006 blue Honda Civic, California license plate number 5UJM962.

If Hagyard or his blue Honda Civic is seen, you're urged to call the Amador County Sheriff's Department at (209) 223-6513.
