Since July 7, half a dozen businesses in Woodland have been robbed and police believe the same person is responsible.

Tuesday afternoon, thanks in part to citizen tips, they arrested Salvador Jimenez, 47, of Woodland for the crimes, police Lt. Anthony Cucchi said.

Woodland police said the businesses targeted were in shopping centers or stand-alone fast-food restaurants. The robber hit on the businesses between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., although one of the crimes was committed at 8:30 a.m.

The robberies were on July 7: Razz Yogurt Shop, 353 W. Main Street; July 10: Sally's Beauty Supply, 1374 E. Main Street; July 14: College Drive-in Cleaners, 1309 College Street; July 16: Papa Murphy's Pizza, 9 Main Street; July 18: Jack in the Box, 1200 E. Main Street; and July 19: Jimboy's Tacos, 85 W. Court Street.

Jimenez will be booked into Yolo County Jail for robbery, Cucchi said.
