VACAVILLE, Calif. – Firefighters responding to a fire call at Mercier Grapevine Nursery in Vacaville made a grisly discovery Wednesday morning.
Fire crews responded to the call around 3:30 a.m. and upon arrival found a burned body at the scene, according to a Solano County Sheriff's Sergeant.
The sergeant said the incident was being treated as a criminal investigation. However, he stated it was too early to classify the fire as suspicious, and said arson investigators were en route to the scene as of 6:20 a.m. to determine the cause.
All employees at the nursery were being questioned.
Firefighters at the scene said the fire started in a shed used to store tractors.
