A missing man who may have been disoriented by the heat was found alive Wednesday morning, Nevada County authorities say.
Jerome Barr, 68,. had been last seen driving away from Woodcamp Campground employee housing in the Jackson Meadows area on Sunday between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., according to the Nevada County Sheriff's Office. Barr had intended to go to another campground, Logger Campground at Stampede Reservoir.
Witnesses said Barr appeared confused when he left.
The sheriff said Barr didn't arrive at his destination and an aerial search for him or his truck did not find him.
Wednesday morning, sheriff's spokeperson Donna Nelson said Barr had been located. She said additional details would be released later.
