The Sacramento County sheriff's bomb squad investigated a suspicious cooler secured to a rail car in McClellan Park Thursday morning and determined the item was not a threat.

Sgt. Lisa Bowman with the sheriff''s department said about 9 o'clock, Sacramento Valley Railroad called about the five-gallon cooler on a rail car on tracks in the area of Dudley Boulevard and Forcum Avenue.

The FAA was also made aware because of the nearby airfield, Bowman said.

The California Highway Patrol restricted traffic on Dudley. About 12:15 p.m., the bomb team "disrupted" the cooler, according to Bowman. Traffic restrictions were lifted.

There were no evacuations.
