SACRAMENTO - A warranted search of a Madera residence Thursday night uncovered 176 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, authorities say.
The raid was conducted by state Department of Justice (DOJ) and federal investigators with California Highway Patrol officers.
A DOJ news release surmised the drug was smuggled from Mexico to California in liquid form before it was converted to crystal meth in a lab at the home.
The meth was found in rooms throughout the residence, as was $58,000 in cash, according to the news release.
No was was in the home and no arrests have been made.
