SACRAMENTO - Several health care provider/insurers are offering free flu shot clinics.
California health officials say there have been 95 confirmed deaths from flu complications and we're still in the throes of the flu season.
Here are three upcoming clinics we know about:
- Anthem Blue Cross will provide free flu vaccines Wednesday, Jan. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. at the State Capitol, room 127 as long as supplies last. Anyone, not just Anthem Blue Cross members can receive the shots.
- Kaiser Permanente will hold a free flu shot clinic, for anyone, not just members, on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at its 1650 Response Road location near Cal Expo.
- The Yolo County Health Department is offering a free flu vaccine clinic Wednesday, Feb. 5, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at West Sacramento City Hall, at 1110 W. Capitol Avenue.
Additionally, many doctor's offices and pharmacies still have the flu vaccine available for a fee.
