Jerome Parra joined News10 in May 2012 as the station's News Director. Previously, Parrawas theAssistant News Director at KPNX-TV (12 News) and Director of the Action Team (The Arizona Republic/azcentral.com/12 News) in Phoenix, AZ.

Along with his current position as Assistant News Director at KPNX, Parra was instrumental recently in integrating the information centers of Gannett's Phoenix news group, including the newspaper, the television station and their shared website. Prior to that, he was news director and later station manager at KNAZ in Flagstaff, AZ. Parra also worked as assignment editor at Phoenix television stations from 1994 to 2000. Parra started his television news career as a writer and assignment editor at KXTV in Sacramento in 1990.
Parra serves on the Gannett Leadership and Diversity Council and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He holds a bachelor's degree in Government Journalism from California State University, Sacramento and graduated from Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento. He and his wife Mary have four children.
