SACRAMENTO - Two people were taken to hospital and two others arrested in separate incidents involving cookware Sunday.

The first of the two incidents in Stockton occurred on the 2200 block of Alma Ave. around 7:14 p.m. A report from the Stockton Police Dept. stated a 43-year-old woman got into an argument and slapped her roommate. In response her roommate, 26-year-old Maria Toledo, grabbed a cooking pot and hit the woman over the head.

The woman was treated for a laceration to her head at a local hospital.

Toledo was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

The second incident happened a little more than two hours later on the 1200 block of Roosevelt St. where police reported a 17-year-old woman twice cracked her 20-year-old sister in the head with a frying pan before choking her following an argument over a blanket.

Officers werecalled to the residence around 9:49 p.m. and arrested the younger sibling for assault with a deadly weapon.

The 20-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
