Invisible, a new track from U2, will debut in a commercial during theSuper Bowland will be available as a free iTunes download for 24 hours afterward.
The commercial will feature an edited version of the Mark Romanek-directed video for the song, which was produced byDanger Mouseand mixed byTom Elmhirst.
According to the band's website,Bank of Americawill donate $1 to (RED) for each download, up to $2 million. The money will go to theGlobal Fundto Fights AIDS, Tuberculosis andMalaria.
Bono andBobby Shriverfounded (RED) in 2006 "to engage business in the fight against AIDS," according to the U2 website.
U2 introduced another new song,Ordinary Love, last yearin a trailerfor the filmMandela: Long Walk to Freedom. Ordinary Love is up for an Oscar for best original song.
The band, slated to be Jimmy Fallon's first musical guest when he takes overThe Tonight ShowFeb. 17, is expected to announce a spring release for its next album, the group's first since 2009'sNo Line on the Horizon.
