SACRAMENTO - Service on AMTRAK's San Joaquin route resumed following a stoppage in south Sacramento County when the #702 train struck a pedestrian Friday morning.
The incident took place on train tracks about 200 yards south of Elder Creek Road at 6:55 a.m., according to AMTRAK spokesperson Christina Leed.
There were no injuries to the 49 passengers or crew on board, Leed said.
Authorities have not released any information on the person struck.
Investigators cleared the train for travel at 9:40 a.m., Leed said.
San Joaquin #702 operates between Oakland and Bakersfield with stops in between.
