UPDATE JULY 2, 2014: Charges against Chase Nitchman were dismissed after he completed a drug diversion program, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office.
SACRAMENTO - A clerk contributed to the arrest of one of two individuals suspected in a beer runat a Sacramento storejust after midnight Tuesday.
According to a Sacramento police report, the two individuals went into the store on the 6500 block of Wyndham Dr. at approximately 12:02 a.m. One of the suspects distracted the clerk while the other grabbed the beer and ran out of the store.
The clerk detained the remaining individual at gunpoint until police arrived, the report detailed.
Nineteen-year-old Chase Nitchman was arrested for burglary and transported to county jail. While at the jail, Nitchman was found to have marijuana hidden on him and received an additional charge of bringing marijuana into the jail.
