SACRAMENTO -A pedestriankilled on the westbound side of Interstate 80 in West Sacramento Tuesday morning was identified by the Yolo County Coroner's Office as 25-year-old Bryson Rush Labourdette of Davis.
California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Konvalin said 911 calls made a little after 6 a.m. reported the man had tried to run across the freeway near Enterprise Boulevard when he was struck by vehicles.
The CHP investigation determined at least three vehicles hit Labourdette, Konvalin said. The driverswere being questioned.
Konvalin said officers found a disabled, white sedanwith paper dealer plates in the center median which appeared to have been involved in a previous collision on eastbound Highway 50.
The car may have been Labourdette's and he was leaving it when he was struck, according to the coroner's office.
Two lanes of westbound 80 were closed for the collision cleanup and investigation, bogging down traffic. The lanes were reopened at about 10:30 a.m..
