NORTH SACRAMENTO - Sacramento police detectives are investigating a homicide in North Sacramento.

Dispatchers received a call at 3:42 a.m. of multiple shots fired on the 2500 block of Beaumont Street. Another caller said someone had been shot.

Sacramento firefighter/paramedics were the firstto arrive and despite efforts to save the man, he died at the scene in the front of a triplex, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The victim was described as in his 20s. His name has not been released.

Police officers and detectives canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and information but as of Monday mid-afternoon, did not know what precipitated the shooting.
