A six-vehicle crash caused a truck to catch fire near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and W. Bianchi Road in StocktonSaturday around 1:30 p.m.
A woman driving northbound on Pacific Avenue hit four vehicles before hitting the back of the truck, Stockton Police Lt. Michael Howard said. The truck was stopped at a red light on Pacific Avenue when it was hit; the two occupants of the truck were able to get out safely before the truck ignited.
Howard said it is unclear why the woman was speeding up before hitting the car, but investigators believe she may have suffered a medical issue before the crash.
No one was injured in the crash.
The crash caused traffic to back up on Pacific Avenue between March Lane and Brookside Road. The area was cleared about an hour later.
