SACRAMENTO - A Colusa County doctorfacing drug trafficking allegationshas died.
Lt. Shane Maxey with the Colusa County Sheriff's Department confirmed deputies found Dr. Andrew Larsen deceased in his car with the engine running in the barn next to his Princeton (Colusa County) home Friday morning.
A federal criminal complaint unsealed earlier this week alleged Larsen and his son Cameron Larsen of supplying controlled narcotics such as oxycodone to drug dealers and in large quantities to patients out-of-state.
Nearly 40 pounds of marijuana were recovered in the doctor's home, according to theaffidavit.
The California Medical Board suspended Larsen's medical licensein November for 30 daysand he was placed on five years probation.
The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
