SACRAMENTO, CA - A man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man with a screwdriver Tuesday afternoon, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said.

Carl Harris, 29, was arrested by deputies in an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Howe Avenue around noon, Sgt. Jason Ramos said.

The victim told deputies that Harris approached him in order to talk. When the victim attempted to walk away from him, Harris pulled a screwdriver from his pants' pocket and stabbed the victim in the head.

Harris then ran from the scene. He was found by a sheriff's K9 unit hiding outside of an upstairs landing in the apartment complex.
