SOUTH SACRAMENTO, CA - Two people were shot in at a south Sacramento intersection Thursday evening.

The shooting happened around 6:42 p.m. at Franklin Boulevard and Brookfield Drive, Sacramento police said.

The two victims were talking to police when they were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officer Doug Morse said they suffer from serious injuries.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene because the seriousness of the victims' injuries. Morse said no has died in connection to the shooting. Police said the suspect vehicle was described as a white 4-door sedan.
