SACRAMENTO - A fire destroyed ahomein north Sacramento and took out apower line in the immediate area Tuesday morning.

Sacramento firefighters were calledto the homeon the 400 block of Kesner Ave.around 3:29 a.m. by an alert neighbor.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefightersfound the unit fully involved and began containment efforts.

While firefighters were battling the flames, an overhanging power line snapped and fell onto the scene, but nobody was injured.

Crews had the fire extinguished by 5:30 a.m. but the home was completely destroyed.

Nobody was inside the home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters leftthe scene but said they would return upon sunrise tocontinue theirinvestigation into what caused the fire.
