AMADOR COUNTY, Calif. - Amador County Sheriff's deputies are looking for the individual caught on camera breaking into the Pine Cone Drug store and stealing an assortment of prescription drugs on Thursday.

According to the Amador County Sheriff's Dept.,deputies were dispatched to the drug store at 19910 Hwy. 88 in Pine Grove at 6:23 a.m. in response to a report of a broken window. Upon arrival, the deputies were greeted by the sounding of the store's alarm system, a broken storefront window and apried open metal security screen.

During a search of the store, deputies found prescription medications strewn across the floor but no suspects were located.

A subsequentreview of the store surveillance footage showed the suspected burglar walking aroundin the area at 3:39 a.m., then leaveandreturn at 3:48 a.m. when he appeared to tamper with the security screen, said deputies.

The video then showed the individual walk away three minutes later and return at 3:59 a.m. when hebroke in through the window. Once inside, the suspected burglar rummaged through the store's prescription medications, place specific drugs into a bag and then flee on foot at 4:02 a.m., deputies said.

The individual on the camera was described by deputies as a light-skinned man, about 6' tall and heavy set, wearing a cloth mask, heavy winter gloves, dark pants and athletic shoes.

Amador County Sheriff's Detectives were continuing to review the surveillance footage, as well as physical evidence gathered at the scene.
