LOOMIS, CA - A man and a woman were caught allegedly stripping plumbing piping from a foreclosed home in Loomis Wednesday evening, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.

Suspects Daniel Paul Loredo, 37, and Rose T. Herzog, 53, both of Sacramento, were also found with drug paraphernalia: a glass methamphetamine pipe in Loredo's pocket and meth in Herzog's clothing, said sheriff's spokeswoman Dena Erwin.

Deputies were alerted to suspicious activity at the home on the 5300 block ofOld Moss Road by a resident at 7:15 p.m. who observed a suspicious vehicle in front of the residence where there had been previous vandalism, Erwin said. Arriving deputies also saw lights from flashlights within the house.

Loredo and Herzog were greeted by deputies as they exited the back door.

Erwin said Loredo had plumbing fittings in his pocket.

Loredo was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia, with bail set at $80,000.

Herzog was booked on suspicion of burglary; conspiracy; possession, transportation and being under the influence of a controlled substance; and driving under the influence. Her bail was set at $70,000.
