FOLSOM, Calif. - A Folsom homeowner is cleaning up after water flooded his home Friday.

"I come running into the living room," Michael Jimenez said. "And I look out the sliders and I realize water is a couple of inches up the glass on my sliders."

About an inch of water flooded Jimenez's home. Now, the fans are blowing and the furniture is piled high. It's the second time Jimenez's home has flooded since he moved into the home in1998. He said his yard was like a lake.

"The drains were partially blocked and the amount of rain coming down at that time was phenomenal," Jimenez said.

With days of torrential rainfall, officials are closely monitoring rapidly rising waterways, while homeowners are crossing their fingers for the least amount of damage.

"My daughter and son-in-law lost a garage to limbs falling; I get worried with the wind," Rebecca Nofer said. "The rain is not so bad; it's the wind blowing that concerns me.

With another system is expected to pound the area over the weekend, Jimenez is hoping for the best.

"Look at the east coast," Jimenez said. "I feel blessed I had as little damage as I did."
