SACRAMENTO, CA - A store security camera captured images of two people who robbed a cigarette store and sheriff's investigators hope someone will recognize the pair and identify them.

The Why Pay More Cigarette Store on the 5000 block of Auburn Boulevard was held up by awoman and a teenager a little after 4 p.m. Monday, said Sacramento County sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos.

After bringing items for purchase to the counter, the female robber pulled a handgun out of her clothing and ordered the store clerk to hand over money. When the clerk initially refused, the woman struck a surveillance camera with the gun and threatened to shoot the employee, Ramos said. At that point, the teen with the woman told her to shoot the clerk.

The clerk opened the cash register and thewoman grabbed money from the till and fled, Ramos said. The teen with her took clothing items from the store and also ran off.

The woman was described as black, between 28 and 32 years old, 5 feet 6 to 8 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds, She wore a gray suit jacket with gray suit shorts and black boots.

The teen was described as black, 16 to 18 years old, between 5 feet 7 and 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. His clothing was black and he wore a black Chicago White Sox beanie.
