We're not even two weeks into the season, and the Oakland Raiders already have issues at wide receiver after Denarius Moore missed the season-opener with a hamstring injury and Jacoby Ford ultimately had foot surgery.
But even with the situation as it is, the Raiders aren't desperate enough to reach into the bargain veteran bin? And by "bargain veteran" we mean Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson and Plaxico Burress.
"It's not just (their) age," Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie told the San Francisco Chronicle on Wednesday. "If the right player could add to the group ... we just didn't feel that those three were the right ones -- clear and simple. If I felt like they could have added something to what we were doing, I would have strongly considered it."
There you go -- clear and simple. And we believe McKenzie is using some common sense here.
