WOODLAND - A plastic bottle explodes at a laundry mat Sunday afternoon and police are still looking for those responsible.

Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Woodland Police Officers were called to the Wash House laundry mat in Purity Plaza for a report of a possibly destructive device that was thrown into the business.

A maintenance worker tells officers that a juvenile had opened the back door to the business and held up a plastic bottle. The juvenie was with a small group of others and they scattered as the worker approached them. The juvenile holding the bottle dropped it near the door before running away.

As the worker attempted to catch up with the group of juveniles the bottle exploded and sent its chemical contents across the ground and door.

Fortunately, the explosion did not cause any damage or injuries.

Woodland police continue to investigate the incident after determining there were no additional threats to the business
