FAIRFIELD-Two teens were arrested for allegedly burglarizing a home in Fairfield Saturday evening.

Fairfield Police responded at 911 call at 5:44 p.m. from a resident reporting that two people had just ran through his backyardon the 700 block of Wren Ct. The resident went to his backyard and found a laptop and game console.

Officers responded to the Wren Ct. residence and as they were investigating the property discarded in the caller's yard, more reports came in about two people running through backyards and jumping over people's fences near the area of Dover Park.

An officer spotted two people matching the suspect descriptions called into them by residents briskly walking through the park and attempting to hide. They were later positively identified as the ones who discarded property and fled through backyards, police said.

While canvassing the neighborhood police discovered a home on the 700 block of San Remo St. had been burglarized and additional stolen property had been removed from the home and placed in the backyard. Officers located the homeowners and they confirmed the property found in their backyard, as well as other backyards belonged to them and was stolen from their residence, police said.

Officers arrested two 14-year-old Fairfield boys on charges of residential burglary and conspiracy. They were booked into juvenile hall.
