SACRAMENTO, CA - A Yuba City man was arrested for a sexual assault in Sacramento committed last January, say police.

Sacramento detectives took Sarbjit Singh Sandhu, 32, into custody Thursday on suspicion of forcible rape and kidnapping with intent to commit sexual assault.

Police say the victim, a woman in her 20s, was kidnapped by two people at gunpoint in the north Sacramento area as she arrived home from work Jan. 24. Her kidnappers blindfolded her and tied up her hands, she told officers. The kidnappers then drove her to an unknown location estimated about 40 minutes away and raped her.

Detectives were still looking to identify and find the second rapist.
