TUOLUMNE COUNTY, CA - CalFire reports it has 50 percent containment of a brush fireburning not far from the Lake Don Pedro reservoir.

The "Seven" firescorched 840 acres in approximately three hours. It is southwest of the reservoir off Seven Legends Road and east of La Grange Road, says CalFire. Flames were first reported at 1:45 p.m.

One outbuilding was destroyed and three acres of an olive orchard damaged, CalFire said.

How the fire started is under investigation.

There was an earlier fire on the 4000 block of J59 road west of the reservoir. Itconsumed 103 acres, according to CalFire.

The fire areas were described by CalFire as rural and sparsely populated.
