STOCKTON, CA - Police in Stockton have arrested several subjects wanted for a drugstore shooting that injured a customer.

Witness Zeke McMiller said the men entered Doug's El Dorado Drug Store on Mariposa Road and ordered people to the ground. Shortly after that, McMiller said two shots were fired and a female customer was hit.

Police spokesman Officer Joe Silva said it wasn't clear who injured the woman because a store employee was also armed and fired as well.

It was as officers were responding to the scene, the possible shooters were spotted driving away. That led to a police chase that ended on Interstate 5 just north of downtown Stockton.

After police completely blocked the northbound lanes, several men were taken into custody.

The injuries to the drugstore customer did not appear to be serious.

Store owner Doug Bennett speculated the men were after drugs to then resell,as well as store money.
