SACRAMENTO - With the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday this year,restaurants, bars, clubs and city venues from Old Sac to Historic Folsom are starting the festivities a little early.

A host ofpre-Fourth festivities are scheduled for Tuesday night to jumpstart the holiday and give some party-goers an extra day to recover.

Following are a list ofJuly 3rd events taking place Tuesday night around the Sacramento area.

El Dorado Hills
Fireworks Jubilee
Including two live, Badge-to-Badge Chili Cook-off, kids' activity area with bounce house, Radio Disney's Rock 'n Road Show, and a fireworks display to cap it all off.

Midtown:
K Street Block Party
Come on out and join in for a summer block party event to celebrate America's Independence! This event will feature San Francisco & Northern California's finest talent with performances and appearances by Nate Davit and electro/hip-hop/pop group Hypercrush.

DJ Scene at Park Ultra Lounge
Join The Park Ultra Lounge as they celebrate our nation's holiday with DJ Scene. No work or school the next day and one of our favorite DJs rocking the decks like only he can do. Everyone may need the next day to recover.

Old Sacramento:
Red, White, & Brews 3rd of July Party in Old Sacramento
15 bars, live music, DJs, karaoke, comedy and dancing all in Old Sacramento. There will also be fireworks after the River Cats game over the river on Front Street.

Rancho Cordova
Rancho Cordova 4th of July Celebration

Carnival rides, free concerts and fireworks.
4:00 - 11:00 p.m. at Hagan Community Park.

Roseville
Roseville's Downtown Tuesday Nights Opening Day
A spectacular street fair with a classic car show, live bands, beer garden, fun zone, various vendors and the Foothill Farmers Market.
5:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Downtown, Roseville, CA

West Sacramento:
River Cats Independence Day Celebration
The River Cats take on the Colorado Springs Sky Sox Tuesday night.Kids eat free with a free membership in the Dinger's Kids Club and there will be an American Flag giveaway to the first 2,500 fans. And of course, there will be fireworks after the game.

West Sacramento River Walk Concert Series:
Swabbie'steams up with West Sacramento Parks and Recreation as sponsors of the Harmony on the River concert series every 1st Tuesday of the month. Fun, family and pet-friendly event with free parking and admission. Proceeds from dinner at River Walkgo to keeping the concert series going.
