"Anything that leaves the ground, flies or explodes is an illegal firework," Sacramento Metro FireAssist. Chief Walt White said.

Whitesaid two arrests were made in two days last week for illegal fireworks.

"One was in Citrus Heights; the other one was in North Highlands. One had 45 pounds of illegal fireworks, which is a significant amount. It included M80s, which are ones that explode and include bodily harm," White said.
