STOCKTON, CA - A Stockton man won't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a new iPad after the device was recovered with the help of a tracking app.

Jose Luis Valles, 31, had his Apple iPad in hand while out for a walk Sunday morning when two teens approached him and stole his device. Valles said one teen punched him in the face and the other grabbed his digital device; they then took off in a white van.

"I talked to my brother. So I told him, 'Someone took my iPad. Let me use your iPhone," said Valles. "He gave me the iPhone and I looked for the tracking application. It's called Find iPhone. It located it (my iPad) right away."

The iPad turned up at a residence about three blocks from where Valles was robbed. Two teens, Da'Sean Murphy and Andre Lamar Beard, are now behind bars on suspicion of robbery and possession of stolen property.
