LOS ANGELES, CA - Electronic Arts announced Monday that SimCity is coming to Facebook.
SimCity Social will bring real city-building simulation to Facebook users, giving users the ability to create cities that come to life. EA teamed up with Maxis and Playfish to bring the game to Facebook.
"Over the years EA has continued to bring major brands such as The Sims to Facebook," said Sean Ryan, Director of Games Partnerships, Facebook. "SimCity Social is a great addition, and we look forward to another high quality game becoming available to the hundreds of millions of people who play games on Facebook each month."
As mayor of the city, players will be able to a city from the ground up and face a number of obstacles, including fires, crime and pollution.
With SimCity Social, players will be able to build friendships or rivalries with other Facebook users.
