MARYSVILLE, CA - It took crews close to an hour to extinguish a 2-alarm fire at a Marysville apartment complex Thursday night.

Fire crews from multiple jurisdictions responded to the 2300 block of Cheim Boulevard around 9:14 p.m.

Half the complex was evacuated as the crews battled the blaze. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation.

Officialssuspect the fire could have been started because of children playing with fire.

The fire was contained to two apartment units. The cost of the damage is unclear.
