SACRAMENTO, CA -- Former Sacramento Kings' star and current team ambassador Bobby Jackson is moving up with the Kings, according to Jackson's Monday Twitter message.
Jackson tweeted, "What up tworld I have decided to join the Kings coaching staff as and Assistant Coach once the Lockout ends."
Kings media spokesman Darrin Maysaid the Kings will officially announce Jackson's promotion on Tuesday, but May confirmed the team is making "some staff changes."
Jackson played two stints with the Sacramento Kings and won the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2003. He's been working with the Kings organization as a team ambassador and a talent scout.
