The Facebook post was definitely a joke.

However, the comments raise some concerns. The people have to be joking, right? Please tell us they are joking.

Jay Branscomb posted a recently unearthed photo of Steven Spielberg, on the set of Jurassic Park, sitting in front of a Triceratops on his Facebook page Sunday, July 6. Under the photo is this caption:

"Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man."

By late Friday night, Branscomb's post had more than 13,165 likes, 37,368 shares and 7,330 comments.

Some comments were clearly joking:

"Poor animal! Triceratops are endangered! Soon they will be gone like the dodo bird and ET, the Extra-Terrestrial," Rob Liendo commented.

"For all of the anti-hunters out there, This was a meager minor sized tri-top. Hell, I shoot Brontosaurus 15 times as tall with my Henry 45-70 all of the time," Chris Johnston said.

"That is nothing I hunt dinosaurs with just a knife. LOL," Jason Feese commented.

Then, there are the comments where you really hope the person is joking:

"That's disgusting. killing an innocent animal! Is that some kind of Bison/Bull? It's huge!" Michael DeFilippi wrote. (We think this one is a joke)

"Why are people so uptight about the smallest shit?!?!?! It's a f***ing animal!!! If you don't like it, don't look at it!! We have bigger problems to deal with!! Get over yourselves!!! SMH!!!" Matthew Hernandez commented. (Not sure about this one)

Of course, you have people replying to the questionable comments:

"OMG you stupid people!!! This animal is NOT real! It is an animal which lived like 66 milion years ago! This is a model for the film! Some people are so ignorant!" Pascal Raubun wrote.

"Let hope that one day stupid becomes extinct. My 5 year grandson knows that dinosaurs no longer exist," Marsh Whanau commented.

A lot of comments also questioned if people were joking:

"I'm trying to stay positive and believe that everyone is just playing along, but there comes a point after reading a bunch of these comments I kinda feel like I want to cut the internet out of my life to avoid people with low IQ's all in one place," Jessica Leigh Ann Francis wrote.

"I can't tell who's kidding or who's being serious anymore," Kaylene Robison commented.

You're not alone.
