A man in Colorado Springs helped rescue a fawn who fell down a window well, and the sweet moment was captured on video.

Todd Dierdoff told 11 News/KKTV on Tuesday, "I thought, 'That's a really small critter and it would never get out of there if someone didn't help it out.'"

So, Dierdoff went down the well, carefully lifted the baby deer out and put it down next to its mama. Through the whole ordeal, the mama deer anxiously awaited nearby, but stayed cautiously away from her baby's human rescuers.

Once the fawn was on solid ground, mama and baby safely walked away from the area.

The Colorado Springs TV station talked to a wildlife officer who explained how to handle a stuck baby animal. You can read the story at http://bit.ly/1on8xpO.
