Miranda Lambert leads all nominees for The 48th Annual CMA Awards, picking up nine nominations in seven categories, including entertainer of the year. That matches a personal best she set in 2010.

Lambert also received two nominations in both the video and musical-event categories.

The CMA named George Strait its entertainer of the year in 2013, partly on the strength of his farewell tour. Strait played the final show of his The Cowboy Rides Away Tour in June at Dallas' AT&T Stadium, and on Wednesday, he picked up another nomination for the CMA's top award.

Luke Bryan, Lambert, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban joined Strait in the top-entertainer category. In addition Lambert, Bryan and Urban had multiple nominations, also picking up vocalist and album nods.

During the second round of CMA balloting, Taylor Swift announced that she'd be releasing her first fully pop album in October, but that didn't keep her from picking up a nomination for female vocalist.

Darius Rucker and Little Big Town announced five categories on ABC's Good Morning America. The remaining seven categories were announced after Good Morning America at New York's Best Buy Theater.
