Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots re-signed corner
back Marquice Cole and linebacker Niko Koutouvides, the team announced on
Wednesday.
Cole, 29, appeared in 14 games with one start in 2012 with the Patriots. He
collected 12 tackles to go along with one interception and three passes
defensed and is also known for his special teams skills. Cole spent the
2009-2011 seasons with the New York Jets.
The 31-year-old Koutouvides was released from New England during training camp
of last season before the team re-signed him on Sept. 19. The Purdue product
played in the final 14 contests for the Patriots last season. He previously
has stints with Seattle (2004-07), Denver (2008) and Tampa Bay (2009-10).
