Flowery Branch, GA (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Falcons placed guard Garrett
Reynolds on injured reserve with a lingering back problem on Tuesday.
Reynolds had opened Atlanta's first six games at right guard before sitting
out the team's last two contests due to the injury. He was replaced in the
starting lineup by rookie Peter Konz.
A fifth-round choice of the Falcons in the 2009 draft, Reynolds made seven
starts at right guard while appearing in all 16 games last season.
In a related move, Atlanta signed rookie guard Phillipkeith Manley to the
active roster from the practice squad.
